Initiation into Meditation – Insights of a Seeker

By Bhagavatar

My first question to Swami Shyam was: “Guru or not Guru?”

It was from that encounter, I guess, that meditation started to enter my life as a regular practice.

Meditation has created an inner space . For the first time in my life, I have the impression I can have place, I can take my place in my own life. As I pursue learning from the reading of  Patanjali’s sootras, I now learn that this place I have just found must dissolve in the One.

It is okay as I learn to adapt to new situations, as a yogi should do. My quest on the transformation Path just goes on. I am learning from the Bhagavad Gita how meditation is a key aspect according to the teachings of Krishna to Arjun.

The Buddha tells us to be our own Light, our own refuge. In a way, it would have been so much easier for me to deeply connect with Shyam. The same thing happened with Saima, Mooji.

I feel blessed for having known these elevated persons. I have to integrate their teachings.

I now have to integrate  my study of the sootras, dissolve my ego so I can also dissolve my vasanas.

That is all for now.

Amaram Hum Madhuram Hum.
